Biography
Dr. Marco Ciotti has received his Medicine Degree in “La Sapienza†University of Rome in 1989; an Oncology degree at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata†in 1994, and a degree in Microbiology and Virology in 2001 in the same University. Since 2002, he works as Microbiologist at the University Hospital Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy. His main field of interests are HPV and cervical carcinogenesis, pathogenetic role of human polyomaviruses in immunocompromised patients, and diagnosis and molecular characterization of hepatitis viruses. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals. He authored several research articles, one book, and chapters of books. He is a member of the Italian Society of Microbiology.
